Focusing on the development of photoelectricity, instrumentation, machinery, automobile fitting, biomedicine, as well as new material, new energy and other leading industries, with the development of advanced equipment manufacturing industry as a breakthrough point, Jiangdong Section will emerge as dominant power of HEDA to participate in international economic competition in the future, and logistics, tourism, real estate and other modern service industries will usher in proper development.

Hangzhou Automobile Industry Corridor:
Hangzhou Automobile Industry Corridor, covering 7.5 square kilometers, is located in Jiangdong Section as planned.

Development foundation:
Hangzhou boasts the solid industry foundation of automobiles and parts. Thanks to the development over years, the entire automobile series production (represented by Dongfeng Hangzhou Motor Co., Ltd and Dongfeng Nissan Motor Co., Ltd) and engine series production (represented by Hangzhou Engine Co., Ltd of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group) have taken shape, with as many as thousands of product categories. Technology content, product quality and market share of some automobile part products have taken the lead in similar products on the domestic market. Xiaoshan District, where Jiangdong Section is located, has won the honorary title of ��Automobile Parts Production Base of China��. Automobile Industry Corridor has been endowed with a perfect industrial environment for the development of automobile industry.

Development orientation:
Jiangdong Automobile Industry Park will rely on the foundation of industrial development, place emphasis on the introduction of large-scale leading enterprises which can exert magnetic field effects, provide impetus for upstream and downstream supplementary chain projects, and form well-established and supportive industry chain. Jiangdong Section will take full advantage of manufacturing resources of Xiaoshan District (Hangzhou) in the field of automobile parts, highlight attracting manufacturers specialized in technologically-sophisticated entire automobiles and parts to station here, and set foot on this foundation to launch design, trade, sales and logistics businesses for automobile parts, and gradually cultivate the capacity of systematic integration and modular supply. Great efforts will be made for developing major automobile parts (focusing on chassis, bodywork, power steering system) and general automobile parts (focusing on interior trim and all-purpose pieces with high added value), painstakingly fostering the stationed entire automobile manufacturers, and centering on the development of entire automobile projects (passenger car and special car as top priority).
